A Thousand Kisses

A thousand kisses
to the scars on your heart
A thousand kisses
to cool your fever
to do my part
A thousand kisses
all the wounds to
slowly heal
Your heart I will not steal
A thousand kisses
with a promise
just one
The storm will pass
We'll watch the rise
of the morning sun

Maybe, Maybe

Let's talk it over
Another chance to play
Red Rover
Come over
Let's play seek
Promise not to hide
How 'bout we
Stand beside each other's side
Maybe we can dance
Move together without worrying
the chance

Love Letters

Love letters written on
the night sky
Writ o'er a lonely poet's
heart and mind
Whispering clouds
Twinkling stars
Wishing this love was ours
Instead of just mine

Aphrodite Night

The sheet is slipping
off my shoulder
and I'm writing this
love letter
Sipping my sweet wine
Stretching out a vine
Garnishing every line
Speaking of love
Dreaming of love
Looking out at a broken kingdom
In my lustrous sanctum
Calling out
My voice lost
where others shout
The door to my boudoir
hanging on one last hinge
Body tinged
in the glow
of one lone candle
My hand caressing the handle
Wax dripping
invitingly
to the satin sheets
crumpled on the floor
In an Aphrodite night
stretching out in soft light

Hot Honey Sweet Tea

One dollop
Two dollop
Add more honey please
Don't tease
Let me sip
Wet my lip
Sugar could take sugar
Sugar
But sugar needs
Something sweeter
Amber, thick sweetness
Uncap your bottle
Let my taste buds
Topple
Let me watch
The sun rise in your eyes
As I sip
Your morning
Hot honey sweet tea
Made especially for me

I Surrender

Twisting and turning
On this cold floor
Letting the words
Slide into me
Calling out for more
Letting the thoughts
Unravel slowly
No more fight to
Put up poorly
No more resistance
To their insistence
Hot, languid persistence

Stretching
Yielding
To words
Looking for a home
I open up
Scratching the surface
Deeper meaning
Going deeper
Deeper
A languid
Sultry
Surrender

Choir Girl

The chorus hall
Now empty
And I'm on stage
Hoarse voice
Still singing
Ears ringing
From the deafening silence
Crumbling to the stage
Dust particles dancing
Mocking
And I'm losing my voice
Still stringing out a melody
Still holding on

Good choir girl
Rehearsing
Letting it out
Even if it comes out
Like a hoarse shout
